A Village Visit

Blacksmith at work in the VillageHistoric Cold Spring Village in Cape May is an Early-American open-air living history museum! Step back in time to the 1800s while visiting an award-winning 30 acre-site.  Experience 26 restored historic buildings with historical guides in period clothing who demonstrate the trades, crafts and lifestyles of the the 19th century including blacksmithing, woodworking, basketweaving and more.  Visit the Ice Cream Parlor, Bakery and Old Grange Restaurant; browse the Country Store and its unique line of heritage goods, specialty foods, jewelry and gift ideas. Weekday family activities and weekend special events including free horse and wagon rides and hands-on kids’ crafts.

***Historic Cold Spring Village is currently hosting field trips. The museum is closed to the public, but the Welcome Center and Village grounds will reopen on June 7th. Visitors are welcome to visit the Welcome Center for free and take self-guided tours beginning June 7th between the hours of 10am and 4:30pm. Please note, the Village will be closed on Friday, June 10th.***

Special Guided Walking Tours are being offered Tuesday-Friday from June 7th to the 23rd at 11am. Tours are $5 per person and begin at the Welcome Center. The Village will be closed June 10th.

The museum will open for the 2016 Summer Season the weekend of June 4-5 for the Free Village Sampler Weekend. Special Weekend events continue through September. The museum will be open Tuesday-Sunday from June 28th through September 4th. Hours of operation are 10am-4:30pm.
