A Village Visit

Blacksmith at work in the VillageHistoric Cold Spring Village in Cape May is an Early-American open-air living history museum! Step back in time to the 1800s while visiting an award-winning 30 acre-site.  Experience 26 restored historic buildings with historical guides in period clothing who demonstrate the trades, crafts and lifestyles of the the 19th century including blacksmithing, woodworking, basketweaving and more.  Visit the Ice Cream Parlor, Bakery and Old Grange Restaurant; browse the Country Store and its unique line of heritage goods, specialty foods, jewelry and gift ideas. Weekday family activities and weekend special events including free horse and wagon rides and hands-on kids’ crafts.

For the 2014 season, the Village will be open Tuesday – Sunday, June 17th through August 31st, 10am-4:30pm, and select weekends late May through mid-September.  HCSV is located at 720 Route 9, Cape May, New Jersey. (609) 898-2300.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are admitted free. HCSV is a proud member of the Blue Star Museums program and offers free admission to active duty military personnel and up to 5 family members.
