Feasting on History

Historic Cold Spring Village welcomed over 600 guests to its signature fundraiser, Feasting on History, on Tuesday, May 5th. The 15th Annual Restaurant Gala was held at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum at the Cape May Airport and was sponsored by Sturdy Savings Bank, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry & Cape May Airport, Gaiss’ Market, Cape May Magazine, Ford Scott & Associates and the Billmae Cottage. Over 45 of Cape May County’s favorite restaurants, local and regional wineries, breweries, and wine distributors generously donated popular foods, signature dishes, wine, craft beers and desserts. For the Second Annual “Best of Feasting on History” Contest, the Village invited guests to vote on their favorite Feasting on History dishes, drinks and desserts.

Soup: The Establishment at 100- Red Curry Clam Chowder

Salad: Saltwater Café- Arugula Salad with Honey Lemon Vinaigrette

Entrée: JB’s Barbeque- Pulled Pork

Dessert: Peace Pie- Ice Cream Sandwiches

Red Wine: Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery- Merlot

White Wine: Cape May Winery & Vineyard- Chardonnay

Beer: Cape May Brewing Company- “The Bog” Cranberry Shandy
