Historic Cold
Spring Village Summer Camp

Village Kids is a
unique educational program, which incorporates dressing up in
period clothes, crafts, games, and activities for children ages
7 – 11 years old.
Ten sessions take
place from 1pm - 4pm on Thursday and Friday afternoons in July.
Children may sign up
for a minimum of 2 sessions, up to a maximum of 10.
Two experienced camp
leaders work with the children the first hour, playing games and
sharing activities. After putting on period costumes over their
summer clothing the camp makes a field trip into the Village to
visit with one of our interpreters. During their trip back in
time, the children learn more about the day’s topic, explore the
interpreter’s building and take part in a hands-on activity. To
finish the day, campers make a craft that relates to the topic
and take their project home.
